Achnabreac – Firetower Trail

About the riding
Achnabreac’s Firetower Trail is a red-grade forest loop with five singletrack sections linked by forest road. When open, it combines flowing turns, technical rock and root features, a water splash and two optional black-grade sections, all within a short drive of Lochgilphead. Forestry and Land Scotland currently lists every section of the Firetower Trail as closed while major infrastructure work takes place nearby, with heavy machinery operating in the area. Keep this page for future planning, but do not travel to ride until the official alert is lifted. The forest car park remains the normal trailhead.
