About the riding
Afan is a large South Wales trail network built around long climbs and rewarding singletrack descents. The green Rookie loop and blue Blue Scar introduce flowing forest riding; red trails such as Penhydd, Blade and White’s Level add steeper climbs, rocky steps, exposure and demanding technical sections; optional black links provide a further challenge. This is trail-centre riding for proper half-day and full-day mileage, not short uplift laps. The visitor hubs provide charged parking, toilets and bike-wash facilities, but check current trail diversions before travelling.
