About the riding
Balblair has two contrasting purpose-built routes above Bonar Bridge. The blue trail is a short, twisting progression ride with gravel, loose sections and a smooth downhill finish. The black route is much more committing, combining a long climb with steep singletrack, exposed rock slabs, boardwalk and technical descents. Several black sections are currently diverted, so check the official page before setting out. Parking is free at the forest; the nearest public toilets, café and bike services are in Bonar Bridge, Ardgay and nearby towns.
