Contin Forest MTB Routes
Contin, Highland, Scotland
About the riding
Contin is a large working forest west of the village, used by mountain bikers for long forest-road rides, tough climbs and the winter Strathpuffer endurance course. It is better suited to self-sufficient cross-country exploration than to riders expecting a compact, graded trail centre. The official visitor area has paid parking, seasonal toilets and picnic facilities. Forestry work is currently taking place, although paths remain open with possible short delays and the Black Water Trail is unaffected. Keep off the new all-abilities path when riding fast and follow all work-site instructions.
