Electric MTB UK venue guide
Glentrool 7stanes
Glentrool, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
About the riding
Glentrool is the gentler end of the 7stanes network and suits families, newer riders and anyone who wants a scenic endurance day. The green Glen trail uses forest track and easy singletrack, while the blue Green Torr adds a sustained climb and a long, flowing descent without large technical obstacles. The 36-mile Big Country route is not technical singletrack but demands fitness, navigation and self-sufficiency. Charged parking, café and toilets are at the visitor hub, and a limited Stay the Night campervan scheme operates under current Forestry and Land Scotland rules.
