About the riding
Dolwyddelan’s Cwm Penamnen route is an ungraded forest-road cycle trail, not a technical MTB loop. It climbs steadily for 8.1 km into the valley on forestry tracks before returning on a descent that can be steep, with a short tarmac section where riders must watch for traffic. The appeal is scenery and quiet exploration rather than jumps or purpose-built singletrack. Charged community parking is available at Dolwyddelan railway station, and the village provides basic services nearby.
