About the riding
Penmachno is a remote, volunteer-maintained red-grade network with a natural, old-school feel. Dolen Machno provides the bigger climbs, tight switchbacks and fast technical descents, while Dolen Eryri adds flowing singletrack, boardwalk and pitched stone. Riding both loops gives roughly 30 km and requires good fitness, navigation awareness and self-sufficiency. Forestry operations currently close several named sections, so follow all diversions. Parking is free at the forest entrance, but there are no trail-centre services or staff on site.
