About the riding
Sherwood Pines is a good progression centre with clearly stepped riding. The green Maid Marion Trail is an easy forest introduction, the blue Robin Hood Trail and skills loop add rougher unsurfaced sections, and the red Outlaw Trail is faster, narrower and more physically demanding. Expert riders can use the black-graded downhill and dirt-jump area. The terrain is less mountainous than many UK trail centres, but the purpose-built features make it useful for skills practice and mixed groups. Parking, toilets, café and on-site cycle hire support a straightforward day visit.
