Electric MTB UK venue guide
Tamar Trails Centre
Gulworthy, near Tavistock, Devon, England
About the riding
Tamar Trails offers roughly 25 km of free, traffic-free off-road riding through the wooded mining landscape near Tavistock. Most routes use compacted stone tracks with gentle gradients, so the centre works particularly well for families, newcomers and mixed-ability weekends. Longer options and the Wheal Maria area add steeper climbs and descents for riders wanting more effort, but this is an exploring and cross-country destination rather than a gravity bike park. The trailhead has parking, a café, shop and heritage centre; published visitor information also lists cycle hire. Routes are shared with walkers and other users, so ride considerately.
