About the riding
Tirpentwys is a rider-built community bike park cut into the hillside above Pontypool. Six hand-built gravity trails are aimed at competent mountain bikers, with steep swooping berms, jumps, drop-offs and a session area for practising features. The trails became an official arrangement with Natural Resources Wales and are maintained by a volunteer crew, so donations help fund tools and upkeep. This is a ride-prepared venue rather than a full-service trail centre: bring what you need, inspect each line before committing and respect any closures or work in progress.
