The Eiros EMPOR-e pairs a claimed 18.5kg weight with Mahle’s full-power M40 motor, giving the latest boutique eMTB launch a striking headline.
Eiros is limiting production to 100 bikes worldwide. Its carbon build includes in-house frame parts and finishing kit, with titanium hardware helping trim mass. The stated weight is a manufacturer claim; Electric MTB UK has not weighed or ridden the bike.
Eiros EMPOR-e: full power in a light package
The specification lists a Mahle M40 motor delivering up to 105Nm and 850W peak power, paired with an iM8 battery. Those figures put the focus on combining strong assistance with low overall weight.

Mahle’s M40 technical announcement gives the motor itself a claimed weight of 2.5kg and assistance of up to 400 per cent. Its control features include a hill-hold function and adaptive motor overrun. The system also allows brands to tailor the motor settings to their bikes.
For more context on what separates drive systems, see our eMTB motor guide. Peak output alone does not tell us how smoothly a bike will climb a wet, rooty trail.
Premium suspension, brakes and wheels
The official EMPOR-e specification includes a 170mm Öhlins RXF38 m.3 fork and TTX2 Air m.2 shock. Brembo GR-PRO brakes handle stopping duties.

DT Swiss HXC 1200 wheels use a 29in front and 27.5in rear combination. SRAM’s XX T-Type rear derailleur and a RockShox dropper complete the headline build.
What it means for UK riders
The appeal is easy to understand: a bike that might be easier to lift, place and change direction on, while retaining substantial climbing assistance. Whether it delivers that balance needs proper trail testing, particularly with tyres and pressures suited to British riding.

The Eiros EMPOR-e is an interesting addition to the debate around lightweight electric mountain bikes. Weight is only one part of the buying decision; fit, suspension setup and local support matter just as much.
A confirmed UK retail price and delivery date were not available in the material checked. For now, treat this as launch news rather than a recommendation to buy.
