Norco Sight VLT TQ C2: UK price, specification and what buyers should check

The Norco Sight VLT TQ C2 pairs a 60Nm motor with a 580Wh battery and a suspension layout built for demanding trails. At a listed UK price of £7,699, its appeal rests on how those ingredients work together — and there are a couple of specification details worth checking before ordering.

This is a specification-based look at the bike, rather than a ride review. The Sight VLT TQ launched in February 2026, with UK availability announced for March. A retailer promotion has brought it back onto our radar, but it isn’t a newly launched model.

What does the TQ motor offer?

The HPR60 produces up to 60Nm of torque, 350W peak power and 200% assistance. That last figure means the motor can contribute twice the rider’s pedalling power, within its operating limits. TQ quotes a motor weight of approximately 1.92kg and positions the system around measured assistance and low weight.

For riders moving across from an unassisted mountain bike, the question is how much help they actually want. More assistance can make repeated climbs easier, but maximum motor output isn’t everyone’s priority.

The HPR60’s figures put the emphasis on supporting your effort. Whether its delivery feels sufficiently smooth on slippery climbs, or powerful enough when the gradient bites, needs answering on the trail.

A 580Wh battery, without an all-day guarantee

The Sight carries a 580Wh battery. Watt-hours measure stored energy; they don’t tell you how many miles or laps you will get from a charge.

Rider weight, climbing, assistance settings and ground conditions all affect consumption. A winter ride through soft ground can ask different things of a battery from a dry trail-centre loop.

That makes the battery capacity a useful starting point for comparison, but we wouldn’t turn it into an “all-day range” promise without testing.

Suspension for more demanding terrain

The carbon frame provides 150mm of rear travel, paired with a 160mm fork. It runs a 29in front wheel and a smaller 27.5in rear wheel — the mixed-wheel arrangement often called a mullet setup.

Norco’s high-pivot suspension allows the rear axle to move rearwards as the suspension compresses. An idler pulley manages the chain routing and helps control the effect of that movement on the drivetrain. The intention is to help the rear wheel deal with rough ground while controlling pedal feedback.

For UK ownership, that idler is also another component to inspect and keep clean through muddy months. The layout is worth understanding, rather than treating “high pivot” as a guarantee of better handling.

Check the weight and fork before buying

Norco’s current C2 specification lists 20.6kg for a size S3. Silverfish’s UK highlights instead state 19.05kg alongside 43lb — figures that don’t convert correctly. We would use Norco’s model-specific figure as the reference, while asking the retailer to confirm the supplied UK build.

There is a fork discrepancy too. Norco lists a Fox 36 Performance Elite with a GRIP X2 damper, while Tweeks and Silverfish describe a Fox 36 Performance with GRIP X. That is a meaningful specification difference at this price, and the listings alone don’t establish whether it reflects a regional build or outdated information.

One detail UK riders should notice

Tweeks lists a Continental Kryptotal-F front tyre and Xynotal rear, both with Enduro casings and Soft compound. Continental positions the Xynotal for hardpack and rocky surfaces.

That makes your usual riding conditions relevant. A rear tyre aimed at firm ground deserves a closer look if most of your winter riding involves soft woodland trails and mud.

The Sight VLT TQ C2 presents an interesting combination for riders who want motor assistance alongside a substantial trail-bike chassis. At £7,699, though, the exact supplied specification matters. Confirm the fork and weight, then seek a demo that includes the climbs and descents you actually ride.
